Our Client, a well known retailer based in West Yorkshire, are recruiting for the temporary role of a Far East Buyer to cover maternity leave.
You will work within a well-established team, playing an instrumental role in helping to deliver an effective central support service to both internal departments in the UK as well as in Shanghai and Hong Kong. The role will cover aspects of computerised buying and supply chain management. Duties will include managing inter-departmental relationships, being included in the product development and procurement of finished products from the Asia offices, working in collaboration with the Asia offices to deliver products to the best quality and to provide on time delivery to the end customer. Additionally you will also take part in strategic pricing reviews.
The successful candidate must demonstrate analytical and communication skills, you will be responsible and organised with a proven ability to operate within pre-set cost, quality, time and quantity parameters. You must possess previous supply chain/purchasing experience as well as experience in the Far East. Ideally you will be educated to A Level standard.
