(FDG) Software Developer 2 Job in Mclean, Virginia Us
Northrop Grumman Information Systems is seeking a software engineer who will execute a variety of software integration, development, and deployment tasks associated with the United Kingdom's MOD Future Deployable GeoInt (FDG) operational system (IOC/FOC). This system will provide a data centric, workflow driven, geospatial intelligent data management, and data discovery and dissemination capability for the UK MOD community.
The successful developer must have experience in Agile development processes, C++, and ESRI GIS technologies and services. Minimal international travel (up to 25%) may be required to accomplish development and integration efforts at the UK integration facility. All development activities will be performed in the Northern Virginia area.
This position is contingent upon contract award, budget and/or customer approval.
Basic Qualifications:
Degree in computer science, information science, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience with at least 2 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 0 years with a Master's Degree.
To be qualified for this position, candidates must also have:
1-2 year ESRI ArcGIS Desktop/Server development, configuration, and integration experience
Experience with Agile Development processes
Experience using a formal DR tracking system such as Agile
Excellent oral communication, writing, and organizational skills
1-2 years experience with C++ and or C#
Experience with Open GIS consortium standards such as WMS, WFS, and CSW
Preferred Qualifications:
While it is not required, an active DoD Secret clearance is preferred at the start of employment. Candidates without a Secret clearance must be able to obtain one.
