(FDG) Software Engineer 5 Job in Mclean, Virginia Us

Northrop Grumman Information Systems is seeking a software engineer who will perform requirements analysis and requirements decomposition in concert and with coordination of the FDG (Future Deployable GeoInt) Systems Architect.

The FDG Architect and Software Engineer will work closely in order to define, specify and coordinate all design, integration and development activities in order to satisfy the system and derived requirements during the development process. This will require frequent international travel (up to 50%) to the UK integration and development factory, and to the UK customer site. Additionally it this position requires professional communications in order to define and overcome technical challenges in a multinational project team environment.

This position is contingent upon contract award, budget and/or customer approval.

Basic Qualifications:

Degree in computer science, information science, electrical engineering with at least 14 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 12 years with a Master's. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Qualified candidates must also have:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance required at start of employment.

  • 10 years ESRI ArcGIS Desktop/Server development, configuration, and integration experience.

  • 3+ Experience with Agile Development processes.

  • Experience using a formal DR tracking system such as Agile.

  • Excellent oral communication, writing, and organizational skills.

  • 15 years experience with C++ and or C#.

  • 5 Years experience in requirements analysis and requirements decomposition.

  • 10 years GIS data type and data requirements knowledge.

  • Experience with the production, storage, and dissemination of geographic data and products and associated work roles (e.g. Data Steward, Geospatial Analyst).

  • Experience supporting Enterprise (multi-system and cross division) development .

  • CJMTK CGA Experience.

  • Frequent International travel (up to 50%) will be required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with system integration, and transition on virtualized (VMware), Blade (Dell).
