Federal Reserve Liaison Manager

AIG Corporate has an opportunity for a Federal Reserve Liaison Manager in New York. The Federal Reserve Liaison Manager will be part of the AIG Federal Reserve Liaison Group (FRLG), and will play a critical role in the coordination and management of AIG's relationship with the Federal Reserve.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

* Build and maintain a constructive, cohesive and collaborative day-to-day relationship with the Federal Reserve supervisory team

* Collaborate with the members of AIG's FRLG Leadership Forum, comprised of key Business Unit and global function representatives ("Primary Contacts"), to exchange information and best practices related to managing AIG's relationship with the Federal Reserve

* Coordinate activities with management and the Primary Contacts relating to Federal Reserve examinations, continuous monitoring activities, information requests and supervisory findings, and ensure that responses to Federal Reserve requests are thorough and provided in a timely manner.

* Ensure that the FRLG tool for tracking Federal Reserve requests for information, documentation and meetings is kept current

* Identify and provide supervisory guidance to management and other internal stakeholders to ensure effective, appropriate and accurate responses

* Assist with the development and implementation of protocols and guidance that set forth the requirements with respect to AIG's relationship with the Federal Reserve and interactions with Federal Reserve examiners

* Assist in providing periodic reporting to senior management on Federal Reserve examinations, continuous monitoring activities, information requests, supervisory findings, and management responses to supervisory findings

* Keep abreast of, understand and communicate to impacted management key developments related to the Dodd-Frank Act and other applicable laws and regulations that pertain to Federal Reserve supervision of AIG

* 10+ years of relevant Compliance or Regulatory experience, preferably with an Insurance company, or a Financial Services firm
* Knowledge of regulatory, compliance and risk areas;
* Knowledge of insurance products and services a plus
* Comfort around senior management and government regulators; ability to interact with, and influence senior stakeholders and equally comfortable and able to interact across all levels
* Well developed negotiation and relationship building skills
* Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Advanced written/oral communication and presentation skills

Education: MBA, CPA or Law degree is highly desirable
