- Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program nomination and submission procedures.
- NISP Classified contract program operations under the governance of the NISP Operating Manual; and
- Controlled unclassified information (CUI) related to federal client–designated sensitive/proprietary programs and projects.

- Oversight of FSO operations and associated personnel affiliated with both Intelligence Community contracts/clients as well as Department of Defense contracts/clients that span from an "access elsewhere" operational environment to in–house safeguarding of classified/program information and materials (to include classified proposal development operations).
- Ensure compliance with Federal/Intelligence Community regulations governing all NISPOM and SCI contract–related security support.
- Administer the personnel security associated products/processes associated with SCI accesses and NISPOM collateral clearances, security indoctrinations, debriefings and facilitate requisite badging (both client–related and internal to Deloitte).
- Provide required security awareness training and coaching to Federal leadership, senior management, project managers, engagement team members, and other members of the Federal Security team.
- Conduct security violation inquiries and investigations to assure potential compromises/compromises of classified information are thoroughly evaluated and reported, as required.
- Conduct security related liaison activities with internal (Deloitte) Federal leadership, external (Client) customers/Government security officials and other Deloitte enabling areas (Federal Contracts, Recruiting, Human Resources, Facilities, ITS).
- Perform other related duties required to assure a comprehensive and viable security program within the guidelines of the NISPOM as well as Deloitte's overall Federal Security Program.
- Coordinate as needed with the other Deloitte FSO Offices.
- Act as a backup for the FSO when necessary.
- Review, publish, amend and distribute Standard Practice Procedures (SPP) manuals.
- On a continuing basis, review and analyze the overall security status of the various security programs and provide recommendations for corrective actions, to include conducting formal self–inspections..
- Manage Personnel Security Clearance processing per defined processes and procedures.
- Process outgoing visit authorizations for personnel assigned to the Directorate who are visiting other agencies
- Validate the personnel security clearance of new personnel. If required, initiate action for the proper investigation to be conducted.
- Conduct briefing/debriefing of individuals requiring access as required.
- Administer Security Education/Training to Cleared Personnel
- Administer a security education and awareness program so as to indoctrinate new personnel, advise personnel of the adverse effects to national security that could result from unauthorized disclosure, and of their personal, moral, and legal responsibility to protect classified information within their knowledge, possession, or control; Physical Security, ISS, OPSEC, and COMSEC.
- Develop and Disseminate an effective OPSEC program (Required for Protection of Sensitive but Unclassified Information and Protection)
- Advise personnel on the prohibition of discussing classified information over non–secure telephone lines or transmitting classified information using facsimile equipment.
- Familiarize personnel of the penalties involved in disclosing classified information to include "lifetime obligations."
- Advise personnel of the requirement to report such matters as: Physical Security deficiencies, Possible loss or compromise of classified material; Information, which could affect trustworthiness.
- Publish security awareness notices, safety awareness notices, crime prevention notices, drug, and alcohol awareness notices, etc., on a routine basis. This would normally be on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Review and provide contractual classification guidance on all programmatic performance.
- Prepare DD 254 documentation for subcontractors
- Prepare Facility Clearance Sponsorship documentation for subcontractors
- Receive, control, route, store, mark, package, mail and destroy all classified material, and maintain applicable records thereto.
- Provide guidance on the proper marking techniques for classified documentation and media.
- Provide proper packaging and marking guidance for all classified material being transported via mail carrier to other agencies or Industry Partners.
- Ensure that combinations on locks used to secure classified information are changed per regulatory guidance.
