Key Responsibilities
- Underwrites insurance risks, including selecting and rejecting new and renewal business.
- Determines appropriate price, coverage, terms and conditions on exposures.
Interacts with Agencies and customers.
- Participates in field office underwriting and producer reviews.
- Manage catastrophic exposures within Firemans’ Fund capacity.
- Understand and comply with state regulations.
- Serve as a mentor for others
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
5 + years experience as an Entertainment underwriter
- Knowledge of the entertainment industry
- Knowledge of core products and ancillary products
- Knowledge of Book/agent/territory management
- Knowledge of quality reviews and standards; competitive landscape
- Solid decision making skills
- Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills
- Experience with the application of regulatory and legal rules and processes
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present in both small and large group settings
- Experience with risk acceptability analysis and decision making
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience with resolving conflict, recommending solutions and influencing skills
- Effective presentation skills
- Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills.
- Experience with the application of regulatory and legal rules and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present in both small and large group settings.
