Senior FI Analyst

Salary: up to 90K Base, up to 150K total compensation

Location: London

I am seeking a Senior Analyst for a leading Fund of Hedge Fund based in London to manage a small team. This role will pay a competitive base salary and bonus for the right individual. This will be a great opportunity to work in a profitable and growing organization for a candidate that requires the intellectual stimulation of a front office role, with the bonus of working in a secure environment. 

The jobholder will be part of the Investment committee team, reporting directly to the Head of Committee.  The successful candidate will work with the risk team, front office and Investment team to analyse, asses and provide consultancy of the strategies and risks’ of current and potential funds. The main responsibilities will be:

• To interpret the performance and risk metrics across FI Macro and Volatility trading strategies.

• To cover US EM FI funds and be part of the selection and recommendation process

• Perform joint transparency exercises with risk analysts to view a hedge fund’s portfolio to determine and capture risks that are not identified by standard metrics

• To monitor leverage, liquidity and financing risks

• Conduct  due diligence interview on Fund Managers

• To participate in Strategy and Fund meetings

• To support the production of reports required by the Head of the Investment Committee and other front / middle office functions 

The successful candidate will have a trading, analyst background, ideally working for a tier 1 asset manager, FoF or Investment Bank within a prop trading desk or a prime brokerage covering FI strategies (Most are FI arbitrage strategies), or working for a Hedge Fund covering the stated strategies.

The candidate will also need to have:

• A theoretical understanding of Hedge fund trading strategies within corporate credit, FX and IR.

• Business level Spanish 

• An excellent understanding of performance and risk measures, i.e. VaR, Greeks, etc…

• A strong Bachelors or higher degree from a reputable University

• Excellent and written and oral communication skills

• Drive and the ability to work autonomously working under pressured deadlines
