FID, Commodities Structurer, ASO to DIR, London recruitment

DEPARTMENT
This role sits within the Commodities – Fixed Income team based in London and is a highly specialised function within the structuring team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in pitching, structuring and executing structured commodity project finance and
  hedging transactions for natural resources companies
• Develop financial models for commodities projects across the commodity spectrum (base
  metals, precious metals, bulk commodities, oil gas)
• Perform debt capacity analysis and structure a debt financing and commodity hedging
  package for the projects
• Draft debt financing and commodity hedging term sheet proposals
• Perform financial and technical (including site visits) due diligence on the projects and
  coordinate diligence with independent engineering consultants, insurance consultants and
  legal counsel
• Run transaction process and work with legal counsel to develop deal documentation (loan,  
  hedging and security)
• Interact with companies management during pitching, structuring, due diligence and
  execution of transactions
• Assist in structuring and pricing commodity derivatives designed to address the hedging
  program necessary to support cash flows in the context of the debt financing
• Develop credit memorandum to obtain internal credit approval
• Develop information memorandum to support the team in charge of syndicating the loan and hedge’s credit risk exposures

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong analytical skills to analyze, structure and model complex commodity project financings and commodity hedging structures, perform due diligence and analyze key risks and mitigants of natural resources projects
• Strong problem solving skills that the candidate will bring to bear in analyzing a specific
  company/project situation and developing a tailored financing and commodity hedging
  solution
• Interpersonal skills to develop relationships with natural resources companies and assist in
  pitching commodity financing and hedging opportunities
• Strong corporate finance modelling skills to model future project cash flows and perform debt capacity analysis
• Ability to translate financing and hedging structural features in term sheet format and
  participate in term sheet negotiations with clients and then full documentation
• Experience running debt deals / dealing with credit agreement, ISDA and security  
  documentation preferred
• Ability to interact with commodity traders to obtain pricing quotes and assess feasibility of
  hedging structures for specific less liquid commodities
• Ability to interact with multiple other parts of the firm to source opportunities and execute
  transactions: IBD, Private Bank, FID sales force, CVA traders, CRM, syndication teams
