Fidessa and FIX Connectivity Support Analyst – Equities Global Market activities recruitment
Provides a first level of functional and technical support on FIDESSA and pre trade applications to the users of the Equities Market activities’ information system in Asia.
Formalizes end users’ day to day problems; assesses the criticality/priority of these problems and treat them accordingly. Escalates to the next level if need be; Gives effective and regular feedback to the end users.
Your Role:
- Provides technical and functional support of Equity Trading systems to the front office business users as well as operations users
- Monitors users’ requests and issues flows by gathering the information from the different communication channels (mailboxes; phone; other)
- Monitors systems by using the information system’s monitoring tools. Ensures that these tools are in line with our needs and takes initiatives to improve their efficiency
- Leads investigations to resolve problems independently. Formalizes problems, raises change request and escalates to the next level of support or development team when need be
- Seeks feedback on escalated problems in order to follow them up and update the end user. Follows up with clients to ensure that our level of service is in line with their expectations. Liaise with other ITEC teams to take into account clients’ needs/expectations/issues
- Estimates the risks and opportunities in our day to day job, and take initiatives to reduce the risks and improve our efficiency. Provides support to your peers when necessary
- Provides assistance for local client connectivity for the flow business desks and be the backup of the main FIX Connectivity Analyst
- Can take part of full lifecycle of client Fix take on including liaison with clients, full end to end testing, client related software developments
- Ensure excellent communication with the Equity Business line, department managers and also with technical team in charge of production
Your Profile:
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Excellent inter-personal and analytical skills
- Good knowledge on the Fidessa platform is a must: TOP, AMMA, JMIS, CTAC, BEAM, IMAR and FIX protocol
- Good knowledge on the FIX protocol
- Good knowledge on Asian Markets activities front to back on Equity
- Good knowledge on both UNIX and Windows environment
- Fluent in English
- French or Cantonese would be a plus
- Able to thrive in a face-paced front office environment - ability to prioritize multiple, concurrent tasks
- Technical background in software development life cycle would be desirable but not necessary
- Reliability, rigour and ability to work independently
- Proactive and Innovative
