The Field Applications Engineer will function as the key technical expert for customers and the sales channel, as well as focus on increasing both the quantity and quality of our OEM sales to customers through technical expertise and assistance in current sales efforts, as well as innovation for new product development.
Field Applications Engineer will be responsible for the aggressive and impeccable completion of tasks in several areas of applications engineering, specifically:
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; Business, Marketing or a four-year technical degree required; professional experiences in a related background desired; professional level experience of 3 - 5 years required; must be willing to travel approximately 40% - 50% of the time; ability to perform business correspondence, including technical writing, legal right to work in the US as a citizen or permanent resident (ITAR compliance)
- Knowledge of the market; general selling and promotional skills, techniques and principles; pricing strategies and cost reductions
- Ability to organize, plan and integrate changes smoothly
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in making business decisions
- Possess strong written and verbal skills including public speaking and presentation
- Ability to work with others and maintain effective relations
- Ability to manage large projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain customer accounts and sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Strong team player and collaborative worker; personable, with ready ability to work with a global constituent base
- Ability and willingness to work directly with customers on resolution of complex technical issues
- Advanced knowledge of assigned product line
- Well-organized and self-motivated
