Job title: Field Applications Engineer (Semiconductors)
Salary/Rate: £40,000-£50,000.
Area: Wiltshire.
My client a producer of high power semiconductors is currently looking to add to its applications department based in Wiltshire.
The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of high power semiconductor devices, preferably thyristors, diodes and IGBTs. Candidates with experience of working with these devices in the traction/rail industry or in an industrial drives background.
The successful candidate will be responsible for-
• Detailed applications support to the sales team and direct customers.
• Support design activities for internal power electronics.
• Contribution to product development and RD activities
In summary if you have worked in the traction/rail industry or with large industrial drives and have a working knowledge of high power semiconductor devices then this could be an excellent opportunity for a change of career direction.
