Specific Job Description Serves as senior Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) staff member at field camp. This is a FT position located in Denver during the austral winter to support field camp planning and coordination. Responsible for all aspects of the daily operation, maintenance and management of field camp facilities in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures outlined for the camp situation, Coordinates, manages and directs all aspects of the field science program, including safety orientation for all new personnel. Adheres to program schedules, works directly with the Field Science Support Manager, supervisors and Scientists to plan and execute the science plan. Directs the efforts of all camp staff and visiting trade personnel and distinguished visitors. Responsibilities can include; coordination of air support, Search and Rescue missions, supervision of RPSC employees, cooking, communications, weather observation, cargo movement, and camp construction. Valid Driver's license required. This position will be located at McMurdo Station during the austral summer.
