Field Electronics Technician/Technolist Job in Calgary T2p3g3, Alberta Canada

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a self motivated, flexible and willing team member that is open to travel. You will be working as part of a small multi skilled operations team that carries out all in-field inspection activities, ensures the successful completion of projects, which includes ensuring that all equipment is fully maintained to the recognized standard as outlined in the relevant work instructions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

? Working alone or as part of a team in-field, operating inspection equipment used for integrity monitoring on ‘live’ pipelines.
? Achieve Base and in-field maintenance, preparation, commissioning deadlines to meet agreed programs and budget
? Implement the agreed in-field program within the specified timescales.
? Work to Company procedures and drawings
? Complete all necessary required documentation
? Carry out operational site surveys as necessary
? Front-line troubleshooting of electro-mechanical inspection equipment
? Assist in training of client and sub-contract personnel involved in the inspection activities
? Liaise effectively with client in job planning, execution, support and feedback
? Provide external and internal timely and accurate professional reports
? Meet required quality standards
? Assist in the reduction of maintenance costs
? Deliver on any other reasonable Management request
? To comply with Health and Safety legislation and requirements – assisting in EHS improvements

Job Experience:
REQUIREMENTS

? Recognized engineering apprenticeship or equivalent electronic or mechanical engineering qualifications
? Proven aptitude to be trained in electronic and mechanical disciplines
? Demonstrable understanding of electronic and/or mechanical engineering drawings
? Ability in the assembly, maintenance and preparation of mechanical and electronic equipment
? Technical knowledge of PII’s equipment preferred
? Awareness of opportunities to maximize additional income by promoting PII’s in-field excellence
? Good IT skills
? Significant travel with no restrictions (domestic/international/offshore)
? Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record for use of company vehicles

Minimum Education Required: Technical College

Years of Experience Required: At Least 3 Years

Expected Travel Time: More than 50%
