FIELD ENGINEER 3 - Navy or Coast Guard experience in planning/execution of Naval Ship overhauls need

US Navy Surface ship availability planning including work specification development/review, milestone reviews, testing observation to ensure equipment operability. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for technical and engineering maintenance of all vessels. Coordinates repair and maintenance functions furnished operating fleet to minimize loss of revenue and costs of repair. Coordinates maintenance programs for vessels to provide dry dock specifications and budgets. Field Engineer will serve as the ship superintendent during Chief Of naval Operations availabilities from availability planning, developing and review of work specifications, review of work progress and milestones, observing equipment testing to ensure equipment installation meets design specifications. Coordinates the efforts of ships force personnel, organizations tasked with equipment repairs and shipboard modernization teams to minimize disruptions, reduce growth work, and ensure ship availability is completed within allotted cost and time period. The ideal candidate will possess: Naval HME equipment including work as a Marine Diesel Technician. Experience with planning depot maintenance and dry-dock overhauls. In addition the successful candidate will have to be RCM certified and have experience drafting HME equipment maintenance procedures. Required Qualifications: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering and five to seven years of Navy or Coast Guard experience in planning/execution of Naval Ship overhauls. US Citizenship with active secret clearance or obtainable. Desired Qualifications: Experience working in SUPSHIP, PERA, Naval Shipyard or as a Surface Ship Port Engineer is a plus.
