Field Engineer Job in Braintree, Southern Uk

Field Engineer - Electromechanical / Robotic Systems.

My client is a UK designer and manufacturer of automatic packing systems.  An opportunity has arisen for a Field Engineer to join their existing team, traveling mainly within the UK Ireland, but also to worldwide destinations stretching from Australia to Finland and Canada to China.

This is the ideal role for someone with experience of electromechanical engineering, pneumatics and PLC controls, looking to progress their career within a successful, expanding company.

As a Field Engineer you will be responsible for installing, commissioning and servicing systems as well as diagnosing and analysing PLC's and control systems. You will also carry out programming adjustments on industrial robots, for which experience would be an advantage.

To be considered for this role, you will need to:
- Have electromechanical and pneumatic skills.
- Have experience of some PLC programming.
- Have a willingness to travel and be away from home.
- Have a "can do" conscientious attitude.
- Be dependable, well organized confident communicator.

This is a 'hands on’ role, and as such proven people skills will be extremely important.

Although not essential, experience with robotics would be an advantage. Having a national engineering qualification would also be beneficial to your application, but not necessary.
