Biothane, LLC, a Business Unit of Veolia Water Solutions Technologies (VWS) is currently seeking a Field Engineer. The position is based out of our Camden, NJ office (near Philadelphia, PA).

The Field Engineer will provide onsite Engineering and Construction Management support for Company projects. The qualified candidate will be assigned to the projects for 3-12 month duration, work under the immediate direction of the Biothane Construction Manager, interact with contractors and owners as well as other employees in the Construction and Project management of large projects This position does require a signifigant amount of travel70-80%.
Duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Be onsite and assist the Construction Manager in the successful construction of projects ranging from $4-40 Million Dollars. Includes:
- Review Plans and Specifications and Monitor the progress of the job against those documents
- Assign 3rd party testing responsibilities
- Communicate Status and Reports to Owner and Office personnel
- Investigate commercial variances such as change orders
- Monitor Schedule compliance
- Develop Project Documentation, daily reports, safety audits, test reports, filing systems
- Interact with Equipment suppliers on Schedules, delivery and start up
- Coordinate System testing as units are constructed, i.e. pipe hydro tests, leak tests, operational tests, generate reports
- Provide support for customers in areas of installation, commissioning, operations, repair and preventative maintenance of treatment plant systems/equipment. May include minor electrical wiring and PCV piping installation.
- Provide operational and equipment troubleshooting support.
- Provide start up input to engineering personnel during design phase of the project.
- Develop site specific start up and acceptance testing plans and schedules.
- Develop system specific Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
A Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or Civil or Mechanical Engineering required.
The chosen candidate must be able to obtain a TWIC Card and be willing to travel as needed as projects flow from design to execution.
