Knowledgeable and/or experienced in US operation centers in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and/or Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).

Operator Candidates must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities comparable to that of a soldier with a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 11B and must pass a basic health assessment and attend Army CONUS Replacement Center (CRC), prior to deployment.

Lockheed Martin seeks Base Expeditionary Target Surveillance System - Combined (BETSS-C) Operators to serve in a war-zone environment in Afghanistan. Individual is required to travel to Afghanistan and perform duties and live in austere environments. Entitlements such as danger and hardship premiums will be applied to the 40 hour base salary only while deployed. The typical work week onsite is 84 hours with surge support as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Operate all sensor systems assigned to BETSS-C and RAID as outlined by the Unit Commander assigned at each site.
* Advise the Unit Commander on the feasibility, functionality and capabilities of the Sensor Systems assigned.
* Perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on each system and its components, IAW with the operators manual, technical manual and training materials.
* Using a troubleshooting guide, troubleshoot systems to find faults and then articulate the precise problem in order to repair the system.
* Document incidents appropriately and forward to qualified supporting maintenance personnel as necessary.
* Maintain log of maintenance performed. Know the repair and reacquisition process, of equipment that has been found faulty during PMCS.
* Successfully complete the training for the designated systems.
* Perform operator maintenance tasks, with sufficient technical skills to follow troubleshooting procedures and convey findings to a qualified maintenance individual.
* Be responsible for the Sensor Systems assigned.
* Work in conjunction with the Lockheed Martin Site Lead and the unit commander to ensure all the unit's requirements for the Sensor Systems are met.

Previous experience operating or using BETSS-C Surveillance and Protection Systems, (e.g. RAID, Cerberus, TASS Annunciators, Unattended Ground Sensors, Thermal Imagery, Ground Surveillance Radar, close Circuit Television, Command and Control Systems) in order to provide operational subject matter expertise to the operator training. Prior US Army service.
