Position Summary

Under general direction, manages all human resources related functions within a facility. Responsible for the planning and execution of policies and procedures relating to all phases of human resources activities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Completes all reports / logs and associated documentation required for compliance and completion of Affirmative Action plans.
  2. Completes all required forms and notifications for various Human Resources related information such as, new hire, change of address, terminations and salary increases.
  3. Manages associate relations for both union and / or non-union associates such as disciplinary issues and termination.
  4. Ensures that all FMLA and other forms and communication relative to Leave of Absences are completed and provided on a timely basis in accordance with Federal and State requirements.
  5. Responsible for recruiting for open positions including completing and complying with job posting policies, advertising and coordinating the logistics for Job Fairs.
  6. Completes the recruiting process by screening resumes, interviewing and working with hiring managers to select skilled applicants in order to fill any open positions.
  7. Completes new hire process including offer letter, drug screening, criminal background check, new hire paperwork, and associate benefits and compensation information.
  8. Conducts new hire orientation and open enrollment meetings.
  9. Provides training and education to associates on various compliance-related topics such as worker's compensation, affirmative action, workplace violence, sexual harassment and performance management.
  10. Maintains all documents and reports related to Worker's Compensation.
  11. Participates in HR conference calls as scheduled.
  12. Provides local administration for various company wide programs such as tuition reimbursement and scholarship funds.
  13. Maintains various personnel related records and files such as vacation and overtime logs, Kronos time management and payroll reporting, on-call schedule and pay, HR payroll system data entry.
  14. Acts as communication conduit to lead team members and / or Regional HR Directors on HR policies and legal compliance and the potential impact at their facility.
  15. Provides communication on changes and updates on all HR programs, policies and benefits and compensation programs.
  16. Provides leadership to administrative support associate(s).
  17. Promotes and encourages positive working relationships with and between associates as well as external contacts; organizes and manages associate events.
  18. Performs related duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program. Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience, including at least two (2) years experience at a manager level. Normally requires a professional license or certificate in specialized field; Professional Human Resources (PHR) preferred.
