Field Manager

DUTIES: As Field Manager you will serve as the focal point in the Kemmerer Field Office for the High Desert District. You will provide leadership, motivation, direction and decisions required to implement and carry out multiple use and ecosystem management within an organization containing a variety of resources. You will be responsible for overall program direction, execution and review of all activities within the Field Office. You will interpret Departmental and Bureau policy and directives as they affect Field Office planning and programs. It will be your responsibility to determine work priorities for the Field Office, direct accomplishment of the approved Annual Work Plan, and you will be responsible for submission of preliminary budget estimates to the District Manager. You will make Field Office planning and programming decisions, including resolution of both long-range and day-to-day conflicts. Accomplishment of the mission requires the use of many different and innovative processes. The programs managed require conducting and coordinating most, or all, of the following functions: 1) energy and minerals management for Federal and Indian lands; 2)management of designated wilderness 3) rangeland management; 4) land and realty operation; 5) wildlife habitat management; and 6)archeological and paleontological resource management and protection, and 7) outdoor recreation management.
