Department Overview:
Talisman Energy Inc. is accepting applications for Field Operators in the Bigstone area to join our dynamic team. The successful candidates will monitor and maintain production facilities and optimize the production of oil and gas wells in the Fox Creek, Alberta area.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform minor repairs and servicing
- Ensure all operating and maintenance activities are conducted in a safe, effective manner in accordance with Talisman policies and government regulations
- Check and log well sites as well as compressor stations and maintain production records using PVR software (Production Volume Reporting)
- Monitor and evaluate well/facility performance with the area operations team
- Assist in the implementation of program standards, practices and site-specific procedures to ensure compliance with Loss Control Standards
- Provide input to area project plans and coordinate commissioning/start-up of new facilities with Lead Operators and associated engineering staff
- Work in a team atmosphere and take on a variety of operating challenges
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years related industry experience
- Training including but not limited to: Compression operations, well optimization, plunger lifts, PVR Accounting and SCADA systems would be considered an asset
- Strong computer skills.
