Position Description:
This position reports to a Premium Audit Manager and is responsible for performing on-site review of commercial policyholder records on small and mid-size accounts to determine final exposures on auditable commercial lines policies.
**Position is virtual/field and will include a company car. The geographic territory is Los Angeles and Orange County.**
Position Requirements:
• Conducts physical audits of selected accounts by reviewing policyholder financial records and applying state rules and regulations to determine proper risk classification and exposure basis identification.
• Conducts interviews with the insured to ensure accuracy of classification assignments and to develop and maintain good customer relationships.
• Communicates audit findings to management, underwriting and agents.
• Remains current with industry trends and changes.
Position Attributes:
• 5 years of commercial carrier experience with a minimum of 2 years of premium audit experience required
• Proficient in application of state manual rules
• Ability to complete audits on small and medium size accounts
• Knowledge and technical ability with audit systems
• Knowledge and technical ability with Lotus Notes, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Ability to recognize problems and proactively act to resolve or minimize
• Ability to provide assistance to underwriting on classifications, audit rules and procedures
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
• Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and posses strong organizational skills
• Can operate cost effectively and protect and maintain company equipment as required
