GENERAL SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Field Recruitment, the Field Representative is responsible for recruiting qualified students for Laureate Higher Education Group's regionally accredited traditional and hybrid online degree programs. The Field Representative is responsible for implementing all of the local recruitment efforts within a specified territory, and will support the overall strategic plan for Laureate Higher Education Group's enrollment.
The Field Representative must have truly exceptional presentation, communication and organizational skills, as well as an obvious and infectious passion for the professional development of the arts and the value of higher education.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct 15-20 onsite enrollment activities per month, including--but not limited to--information sessions, visits, and in-service programs.
- Publicize and market within a specific territory by attending local, regional and national conferences and events, and participating in relevant arts oriented activities in local communities.
- Understand and present University programs and other related degree program offerings.
- With support from the Enrollment and Marketing teams, coordinate invitations, room setup, registrations, and materials for each session.
- Cooperate with other field staff to plan appropriate and strategic territory recruitment efforts for all of the University's degree programs.
- Build relationships with current students as well as alumni to identify new group potential and new opportunities to present programs.
- Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all degree programs, and the regulatory, operational and pedagogical complexities of the arts and entertainment industries.
- Assist in other field-based efforts as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required, with a background in the arts strongly preferred.
- Must have 2-5 years experience in outside sales or education, preferably within the assigned territory; Ability to work on evenings and weekends strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success selling into is highly desirable.
- Must have truly exceptional presentation skills, and must be capable of delivering persuasive and sales-oriented presentations to both small and large groups of art students.
- Must be extremely well-organized and attentive to detail.
- The successful candidate will work well under pressure and will be eager to succeed in a competitive, results-oriented environment.
- Significant regional travel (50% or greater) is required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and to self-direct his/her daily activities is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, as is facility with technology and mediated communication.
