Field Sales Representative
Do you love to sell? Are you looking for the right opportunity with a growing company? We have a Field Sales Rep opening in our Kansas/Nebraska territory.
Our Field Sales Force represents the world-renown line of Precious Moments collectible figurines and giftware, as well as several other quality product lines within the gift and decorative accessory marketplace . The Field Sales Representatives will be responsible for developing, growing and managing new and existing sales accounts for their region and will spend up to 50% of their time on the road calling on customers. These are independent contractor positions, working from a home-based office.
Responsibilities include:
- Servicing and increasing the sales in the existing account base in your designated territory.
- Developing and opening new, quality accounts within your designated territory.
- Managing all account requirements
- Reporting on successes or failures of promotional sales activities
- Maintaining budgetary control and maximizing operational efficiency within your assigned territory
- Knowledge of the overall sales strategy and understanding of various product lines
- Understanding the customer’s needs and requirements
- Building relationships with customer account associates at all levels
- Proactively communicating new product launches
- Acting as a liaison from the customer to our Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and other internal departments
- Suggesting new product opportunities as appropriate
Requirements
The qualified person will
- Have at least 2 years of outside business to business sales experience; giftware industry sales experience is strongly preferred
- Have a proven record of sales success, with the ability to manage accounts in a highly active sales environment
- Have a keen understanding of the retail industry and the ability to learn our product line to become the expert for our customer
- Have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Be self-motivated, with a strong drive to achieve
- Demonstrate the ability to initiate contact and build relationships with ease
- Listen and react to satisfy the customer’s needs
- Exhibit the ability to juggle multiple priorities and be capable of independent judgment
- Have excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Be comfortable working remotely and traveling within assigned territory on a constant basis
