For more than 30 years our client, Synventive Molding Solutions GmbH, has been delivering innovative hot runner solutions to the plastics processing industry. These solutions include hot runner, tool and process control components and project–related services from the initial product idea involving the planning and preparation stage through to production. The company has manufacturing facilities in America, Europe and Asia, with circa 700 employees and has offices and representatives in 26 countries. Their European headquarters is located in Bensheim, Germany.
They are currently looking for a Field Sales Service Engineer (m/f), to mainly deal with their customers across Turkey.
Job purpose:
Identify in an already strategically defined market sector active customer contacts and maintain network. Create needs and manage projects under economic and technical aspects. In addition, undertaking the technical performance of service requests from the customers.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Value Selling (customer benefit arguments, customer concept).
- Proactive technical advice and problem solving with the objective of revenue growth within new and existing customers.
- Advise customers in the preparation of specifications, inform internal contact persons and proof realisation possibilities under technical, economic and temporal dimensions.
- Analyse inquiries related to contractual, timeline and technical feasibility.
- Carries responsibility for contract and offer documentation and clarification of discrepancies and, if necessary, to correct the calculation.
- Clarify, in the case of any divergence between engineering sheet and the offer, with the customer.
- Perform company presentations and product training and other support tasks related to the marketing activities of the company.
- Obtain market and customer information and communicate internally.
- Active participation in strategic working groups (e.g. for definition of new products, creating market strategies).
- Handle direct service calls from customers and perform and co-ordinate all related activities to perform the service on-site or in the European Service Centre in Germany.
- Maintenance of the data in CRM system as well as internal reporting as required.
- Support the company with the credit rating of customers and taking preventative actions to avoid bad debt, active surveillance of the commercial situation of the customer, immediate information to accounting, if the customer’s business situation deteriorate significantly.
- Routine and special activities that are not directly part of the line of action, however, necessary for the daily operational procedure and for the interdepartmental cooperation.
- Ensuring compliance with legal and corporate standards, policies and local regulations in job related terms, as well as full compliance with QM (Quality Management) requirements.
- Carries responsibility for the relevant cost centre (if applicable).
Skills and knowledge required:
- Degree in plastics engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering and / or comparable professional experience in toolmaking and/or injection molding processing.
- A minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in the mold construction and/or plastic injection molding technology, experience in design engineering is an advantage.
- Experience in dealing with customers, funded negotiation and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of reading mechanical drawings required.
- Familiarity with MS Office required and CRM system desirable.
- Willingness to extensively travel.
- Fluent spoken and written English, additional languages an advantage.
