Field Service Engineer

 

 

 

Market leading, global IT Support Company requires an experienced Field Service Engineer to be based in the field in the North / Central London area, reporting to Regional Manager.

 

 

Essential Skills Experience:

 

·         Dell Hardware

·         Repair / Upgrade / Maintenance (PC/Servers/Laptops/Printers)

·         Fault finding and diagnostics

·         Peripherals, Multifunction device installation and configuration

·         Component level repair

·         Operating systems: DOS/Win95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP/Vista/Win7

·         Excellent communication skills.

·         A practical and logical approach to problem solving.

·         Previous field support / break-fix experience.

·         A flexible approach in terms of travel, hours of work.

·         Full, clean driving license + own car.

 

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

·         Installation and testing of workstations, laptops, servers and printers.

·         Hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting and maintenance.

·         Service and maintenance of PCs and related hardware / software.

·         Collection of parts from company depot.

·         Investigate solutions to problems independently.

 

 

Duration:

 

·         Initial 4½ month contract with a view to go permanent

 

 

Package:

 

Basic Salary:              £20-27k

Bonus:                        Performance related bonuses offered – contingent on customer satisfaction survey.

Training:                    Ongoing training provided.
