Plans and performs timely warranty and field service relate to valve maintenance; audit authorized service centers to ensure their compliance to Energy LB field service procedures; regularly calls on end-user plants to perform walk through for scheduled turnaround/ outages; provides recommendations to the company regarding product improvement based the feedback from customers and the lesson learned from product field failure.
- Perform warranty and field service work at customer's facilities. This includes problem definition, failure data collection, basic root cause analysis, service planning, parts definition, sub-vendor requirements, timing, cost and final field visit report.
- To perform and document, when necessary, audits prospective/authorized valve service centers.
- Evaluation to include service capabilities, procedures, quality program, customer relationships, and personnel analysis/evaluation.
- Maintain written and verbal, communication with customers on planned service outage and/or turnaround to perform field service work
- Support the development of filed service manual/procedures and "follow through" on needed warranty activities.
- Provide specific and detailed feedback to Engineering and Manufacturing to identify and eliminate the cause of warranty work.
- Coordinate repair work on customers valves returned.
- Such work to be carried out through the Returned Good System with assistance of the appropriate project customer service engineer.
- And the Field Service Specialist is responsible to oversee that proper evaluation of the returned goods is performed, correct manufacturing instructions are given, and the valve is scheduled for on time return the customer.
- Conduct training on service specialists in other regions
Job Requirements:
- Our client is looking for a minimum of seven (7) years experience in valve manufacturing and/or valve service activities and experience and the ability to perform the below listed duties independently.
- Must have experience repairing valves in addition to maintenance.
- An A.A. in Engineering Technology, plus three (3) years minimum experience will be considered.
- Must be capable of traveling nationwide and globally approximately 50 - 70% of the time.
- Will require work on nights and weekends as demanded by the customer's requirements.
