Field Service Technician -San Francisco Bay Area Job in San Francisco 94102, California Us

Position Overview:  This position will provide professional technical service support on all Maquet Critical Care and Surgical Workplaces products. The position will help to maintain twenty-four hour continuous coverage in the territory in an effort to provide uninterrupted support. In addition, position will be expected to pursue renewal of existing service contracts and identify new service contract opportunities. The territory for this position will be the entire Northern Coastal California area: San Francisco Bay area, Oakland, San Jose, and surrounding areas.

Position Responsibilities:

Assist in installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of products  

Provide telephone support to customers  

Document all activities in accordance with the service SRO System  

Provides technical assistance to Sales and Clinical Education Staff  

Maintains all service contracts     

Actively pursues the renewal of existing contracts   

Identifies potential service contract customers, closing deals accordingly  

Ensures equipment is in good condition/working order  

Escalates customer service issues to the Regional Service Manager  

Position Requirements:   

Associate of Science Degree in electronics or related field  

3 years experience as a Field Technician - preferably in Medical Devices or healthcare  

Sales skills with the ability to grow revenue base  

Technically proficient in the troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of Maquet products  

Ability to function independently with minimal supervision  

Critical thinking abilities  

Strong interpersonal skills  

Good driving record 

Strong computer skills  

Ability to lift approximately 75 lbs. with or without assistance  

Ability to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays
