A not-for-profit provider of healthcare and related services is currently seeking a Field Technology SpecialistWe are currently seeking a dynamic, organized and a self-starter who is professional and possess excellent customer service skills. The Field Technology Specialist possess excellent computer skills in both hardware and software knowledge with effective troubleshooting skills. Application knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook for operating systems OS XP and Server 2003 in a network environment. The candidate should be able to learn quickly in a fast paced emerging technology environment. The individual must be team oriented and will be part of a support team that will require them to drive to support customers at different locations in Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura Counties, occasionally San Diego and fly to San Jose area – including overnight stays at facility/hotel. Excellent communications skills are a must.

Essential duties and responsibilities will include the following:

·         Provide corporate and campus workstation and peripheral support

 

·         Maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot desktop applications

 

·         Research for troubleshooting support on desktop applications

 

·         Establish and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external customers

 

·         Daily check-in for completed tasks for the day

 

·         Maintain daily task list up-to-date with ability to organize and prioritize

 

·         Maintain safety in work environment

 

·         Train and provide in-person and telephone support to customers

·         Provide rotational once a month weekend on-call support for Helpdesk voicemail messages left and emails sent to Helpdesk

·         Ability to complete paperwork on a weekly basis (expense reports, status reports, etc)

·         Maintain field support work for inventory hardware and user database updates for work

 

·         Configuring of workstations and laptops with ghosting images

 

·         Deploy and install workstation, laptops, and peripherals

 

·         Basic knowledge of emerging technologies: Office Suite upgrades OS upgrades

·         Basic Knowledge of TCP/IP Network and Active Directory.

·         Must be professional with excellent customer service skills

 

·         Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment

·         Minimum requirement A+ plus certification

 

 

Final candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal record clearance.
