Our client has a very high demand for experienced scaffolders
The Sino Iron Project is located at Cape Preston- 100 Kilometres south of Karratha in the Pilbara of WA.
The applicants will be involved in the construction of a 51 gigalitre desalination plant to support the mining of magnetite- a raw material used in steel production. The project has access to over two billion tonnes of measured, indicated and inferred magnetite ore and, when operational, will be one of the world's largest mines. It will process and produce 27.6 million tonnes per annum of a mix of pellets and concentrate.
Stage 1 of the desalination plant will commence at the end of October 2010 and complete in March
2011. Stage 2 will continue through to December 2012.
It is the intention that employees be engaged on a permanent basis on a FIFO 4:1 (28/7) roster. You will be working 10 hour days. Due to the work schedule, employees will be requested to work a 13 day fortnight from the commencement of the project.
The roster cycle may change due to operational requirements
The applicants will also require the below documentation and experience:
- Advanced Scaffolding national certificate (at least 1 year on this ticket)
- Australian birth certificate or passport with Australian working rights
- FIFO experience on major projects
- White/Blue card
- Working at heights card
Travel to and From Site:
Point of Hire will be Australian Capital Cities and employees are expected to make their own way to and from the airport.

- Laundry facilities
Employees will be motelling- at the end of an employees' 4 week roster, they will vacate their room completely and be allocated a new room on their return from RnR.

- A Construction Safety card is required for all personnel (White, Blue, Red, Green etc)
- No drugs or alcohol permitted on site
