Figure Models - Casual Part-Time Position

The Art Institute of Michigan – Troy is seeking figure models to pose either nude or in costume in the classroom/studios to contribute to the learning and creative processes of students in the areas of drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture.

Minimum Qualifications:

· A high school education or equivalent is required

· Experience in sports, dance, theatre, or any form of movement is helpful

· Knowledge of modeling techniques; ability to pose draped or undraped

· Ability to work a flexible schedule, as well as an assigned schedule, and to arrive on time

· Ability to hold a variety of interesting poses, including standing poses, without movement, for varied durations

· Ability to demonstrate awareness and confidence of own body in the space around it

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

These are casual part-time, non-exempt positions without benefits.
