Alcon LenSx Inc. is always looking to expand its team with bright and dedicated people. Based in Aliso Viejo, California, Alcon LenSxInc. is focused on providing better outcomes to cataract patients by delivering an all-laser alternative to manual cataract surgery.
We are currently recruiting for a Final Test Technician IV. The successful candidate will conduct final functional testing and verification on integrated laser systems by performing the following duties:
- Conducting testing according to established work instructions utilizing a variety of complex electrical, optical and mechanical test and measurement equipment
- Providing feedback to organization to improve product design and performance, as well as testing methods
- Conferring with scientific, engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data and data interpretation
- Analyzing and interprets test data and records results in accordance with SOP and FDA requirements
- Training manufacturing and field service personnel on systems test processes, including troubleshooting
Technical Experience:
- Optical alignment and knowledge of optical properties is desired.
- Electronics background required.
- Ability to interpret system and PCBA schematics.
- Working knowledge of oscilloscopes, DMM's and amp meters.
Knowledge in the following areas a plus:
- Medical device
- Quality systems
- Manufacturing processes
Education and Experience:
Technical degree (preferred) plus seven to ten years related experience in a manufacturing environment testing complex systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing ERP software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. The individual should also have a working knowledge of computers and be able to troubleshoot computer related problems.

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to analyze processes to improve and to create more efficient ways to perform those processes.
- Ability to follow directions from Supervisor, to interact with co-workers to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures and to accept constructive criticism.
