The Corporate Banking (CB) Finance team, headed by Chief Financial Officer (CFO), is responsible for working with the business delivering financial leadership, control, commercial insight and advice. Our finance community is located in several countries around the world, supporting UK and Global businesses. There are some 270 staff directly employed in CB Finance and a further large number providing support from finance shared service functions elsewhere in the RBS Group.

As Finance Accountant, you'll assist the team in driving Mentor’s performance and providing financial support to the business. A key objective of the role is the accurate and timely reporting of financial and management information to Mentor’s leadership team and GFS colleagues, with a strong focus on robust financial controls, processes and systems. You'll be expected to provide analysis and interpretation of financial performance, PL and Balance Sheet, support the forecasting and budgeting processes and ensure the integrity of financial systems and reporting.        

Ideally as Finance Accountant, you'll have experience in month end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and budget and forecasting. Advanced excel skills are a must and experience of SAP would be highly beneficial. Previous experience of of working in a bank or financial services would be advantageous, as well as holding an accountancy qualification.
