Finance Analyst
This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious and highly motivated part qualified Accountant to join one a progressive business on a permanent basis. My client are a local manufacturer of specialist goods with a national client base and can offer the successful applicant unrivalled career development opportunities. Reporting in to the Director you will be responsible for standard cost maintenance, inventory reporting, work order progression, financial forecasting and planning as well as waste reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assemble and compile financial data and standard cost maintenance.
· Undertake inventory reporting and assisting the accountant.
· Assist in the development of long-range financial forecasts and related budgets.
· Assist in the preparation of reports to include Production, stock, sales reports, purchasing, materials and others as necessary.
· Take ownership and responsibility for the work undertaken and tasks performed as well as demonstrating the desire to make continuous improvements in the compilation methods.
· Participate in and present in routine and ad hoc meetings when required.
· Be a point of contact for providing requested information to all stakeholders, including Internal and External Auditors.
· Assist in streamlining of processes analysing better ways of doing various activities.
· Performs other related duties as required.
Essential Criteria:
· Third level qualification in business/finance or related subject, such as HND or HNC
· 2+ years experience working within a finance/Analyst function
· Proven problem solving skills, demonstrating analysis and decision making competence
Desirable Criteria
· Hold or working towards a qualification with one of the recognised UK/Ireland Accounting Bodies (i.e. CIMA, ACCA, ICAI or ICAEW)
· 2+ years experience working within a relevant role in industry
