Finance Analyst
My client a leading cosmetics brand are currently seeking to recruit a Finance Analyst on a Temporary to Permanent basis for their Finance team.
This role, a key part of the company’s Accounts team, will support the reporting and budgeting process, ensuring all key deadlines are adhered to whilst supporting the wider business to drive actions and improvements. This is a business partner role with a remit to analyse and support all areas of the Business.
Role duties:
- Analyse sales and costs trends, identifying areas of improvement.
- Liaise with profit and cost centre managers, challenging, influencing and supporting them to drive Business performance.
- Involved in the preparation of forecasts and budgets, including liaising and assisting budget holders, critique and analysis of submissions and consolidation to review.
- Assist with compilation and upload of month end journals, completing various reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of process and reporting.
- Involved in the compilation and preparation of accruals prepayments.
- Action ad hoc enquiries and analysis on request from Finance Director and the Leadership Team plus the wider Business.
- Liaise as required with HQ on reporting, budgeting and forecasting issues and ad-hoc analysis.
- Liaise as required with audit partners, both internal and external.
- Proactively identify and deliver process improvements and efficiencies.
Skills required:
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills including good knowledge of pivot table functionality.
- Knowledge of the SAP ERP system is a bonus.
- Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Good commercial awareness.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales.
- Inquisitive and questioning.
- Ability to challenge and influence at all levels.
- Able to build and maintain strong cross functional relationships.
- Strong team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a drive and enthusiasm to succeed.
Education experience
Ideally 2-3 years Management Accounts experience ideally within a Manufacturing and/or Retail environment.
Part-Qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA,)
