The Role:
Working within the company's customer service (CS) deprtment, the successful candidate will be a key member of the CS finance team, which is responsible for the following: Financial planning, reporting, and control. This is a fast-paced multi-task environment, so in addition to having good technical knowledge you will need to be a creative problem solver and have a passion for excellent public service.
- Work in a team to produce daily/weekly/monthly metrics processing, forecasting and reporting.
- Contribute to the development of finance planning and analysis tools and files, working towards an EU wide integrated approach.
- Help to Evaluate and implement improvements in forecast accuracy
- Produce regular finance reports and analysis
- Perform data-mining and analysis using tools including MS Excel, Cognos/Essbase and SQL
- Involvement in bi-annual strategic operational planning process addressing identified risks and opportunities for CS. Support process improvement efforts and the implementation of both business processes and technical solutions.
- Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
The Requirements:
- Minimum of 4-5 years experience in an accountancy/finance role + 1-2 years experience as a Finance Analyst
- Qualified/Part-qualified accountancy qualification
- Good verbal and written skills in English language
- Good business acumen, confidence in your ability to influence others, and strong analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and proven experience in data mining and analytical work
- In-depth knowledge of planning and analysis tools
- An advanced level of computer literacy. Proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Access/other Database, SQL/MySQL.
