Finance Assistant, Funding recruitment
The PCAOB is seeking a Finance Assistant, Funding in the Office of Finance at its Washington, DC headquarters. This is a regular, full-time position. The primary responsibilities include support of the funding and accounts receivable processes in the Office of Finance. This role requires a person who is willing to assume a wide range of responsibilities in a multi-faceted, professional environment. Responsibilities Funding Process Support: o Gain a thorough understanding of the PCAOB's funding rules. o Assist with public company research and other funding tasks in preparation for the annual issuer accounting support fee invoicing. o Use internet-based research tools to identify and interpret company information and document research. o Assist with the various tasks required in preparing for and assessing the annual fees and the annual broker-dealer accounting support fee. o Assist in ensuring the timely collection of assessed fees. Customer Support: o Provide customer support regarding the accounting support fee or the annual fees, interacting with various levels of contacts outside the organization. o Contact invoiced entities whose invoice mailings were returned as undeliverable or whose assessment remains outstanding. o Respond to confirmation requests and other inquiries from customers or their auditors in a timely and accurate manner. Accounting Duties: o Enter cash receipts and perform other accounts receivable duties daily. o File and organize customer cash receipts and month-end reports. o Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. o Maintain, update, and analyze reports, documentation, and other materials. Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative duties and special projects, as needed.
