Finance Business Partner
Peterborough-based Charity with a national presence seeking to recruit a Qualified Accountant in a newly created Finance Business Partner role.
You will work with and support the Group Director, Resources together with the wider Resources management and team to ensure that financial and business decision making is robust, timely and ensures that financial performance and wider delivery is at least in line with strategic plans and budgets.
You will work with the Resources team to help them achieve financial and wider performance targets and be responsible for a Management Accounts Team Leader and 2 Assistants.
Main duties:
1. Provide leadership and direction to the Resources team in financial matters and business decisions.
2. Develop, manage and monitor strategic service plans and budgets in order to achieve agreed objectives within Resources business plan.
3. Ensure the effective flow of communication on all finance management matters across the Resources team.
4. Provide professional finance management advice and information to the Resources team regarding performance and direction.
5. Deliver appropriate financial information across the Resources team in a timely manner.
6. Identify and work with the Resources team to mitigate risks which may affect their ability to deliver financial performance targets and strategic outcomes.
7. Ensure the Resources team’s compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, external legislation and regulatory frameworks.
8. Continuously seek to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Resources team, collaborating with others to ensure resources are used effectively to achieve the goals of the service plan(s).
