FPA - Financial Business Partner

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the senior leadership team to provide a high quality FPA capability to support the commercial growth of the business. As a key member of the EMEA FPA team, he/she leads the execution and drives insightful performance analysis.

This individual will work closely with the Int’l FPA Manager and the EMEA leadership team in taking the organization to higher standards of performance as the company reinvents its processes and growth opportunities; install best practices and improve processes within the company’s financial organization and be responsible for directing the development and preparation of short-term and long-term financial plans and annual budgets.

He/she will be responsible for enhancing the way the organization views and disseminates information that critically impacts the business and influences business decisions. 

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare operating plans for the short-term, quarterly and annually, in close association with the executive leadership team. Also assist in the overall strategic planning process and other projects and corporate analysis, always looking to create alternatives to move the business forward.

• Develop financial planning processes and corporate-wide requirements; improve financial analytical prowess; develop planning standards; assist businesses in the development of planning processes and techniques.

• Prepare materials and other formal financial materials for the European leadership. Develop clear and informative methods of presenting financial data, special projects and studies of a financial nature.

• Analyze and interpret financial data; transfer that data into meaningful information reporting and senior management team actions.

• Develop external trend/information reporting which reflects internal/external conditions and trends, and appraise the effects of the economy and competitors on the organization’s opportunities.

• Manage capital planning and budgeting process to ensure they are linked with corporate strategy and overall business goals

• Maintain and obtain financial data and information useful in formulating organizational financial processes/ policies.

• Review the company’s financial progress, comparing results with plans and assist in forecasting results. Prepare reports and interpret financial results for decision making.

• Train and develop the financial professionals and other talent in the organization.

• This financial professional will be entrepreneurial and strategic in the way he/she looks at opportunities to improve the way the business is managed and avenues for growth

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Candidates will have a successful career generally gained in a large multi-national environment.

The successful candidate will have broad financial experience as a result of their movement through a variety of financial disciplines including financial planning, analysis, strategy, strategic business unit finance leadership or controllership, and corporate finance. Excellent computer skills for using Excel spreadsheets, Modelling skills, Oracle financials, Hyperion, Grail and other software are crucial. Excellent math skills.

This financial professional will be entrepreneurial and strategic in the way he/she looks at opportunities to improve the way the business is managed, and avenues for growth. 

Experience will include working in an international matrix environment and exposure to a business undergoing major transition. As a result, he/she will have a demonstrated strength in negotiating, implementing and managing complex business strategies to effect change and have an impact on the profitability of the company. 

The successful candidate will be fundamentally curious and creative and be able to think out of the box. This person will be intuitive in their thought process and able to partner with other executives in the organization to have significant input into improving business practices and creating new solutions.
