Finance Change Business Analyst – Data Conversion & Migration – Leading Investment Bank recruitment

Therefore my client is looking for a finance and IT change specialist with solid experience from similar programmes and the knowledge and foresight to understand where the risks exist and what counter measures and contingences can be made to manage any eventualities. You will have a solid finance understanding and probably an accounting qualification, plus experience of migrations and conversions to new general ledger and data warehouse configurations.

As the Business Analyst working on the replacement of the general ledger you will look at the data implications of this change, and facilitates the UAT through the mobilisation of all staff impacted by the change. This role is pivotal in understanding the data flows through to the ledgers and the current risk architecture, and working with the data sourcing and processing workstreams to ensure that all implications of the migration are covered.

Must possess a good understanding of accounting / accounting processes (Financial Control, Product Control General ledger) within an investment banking environment and understands front-to-back processes: initial trade capture, settlement, position keeping, PL computations (accruals revaluations), GL postings, daily/monthly/year-end processes. Also SQL

Ideally a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CA) with a background in Finance Change / Finance Transformation around Data Flows, Data Migration and Data Analysis.
