Commercial and Finance Manager

To oversee and provide an effective and strategic management accountancy service to the division of responsibility. Ensuring contractual commitments are met and to assist in the development of the business and ensure a consistent return on investment. Provision of accurate and timely information to facilitate the efficient running of the Business Unit. Working closely with the BU Senior Commercial Manager to drive continuous improvement to processes and reporting, providing accurate and timely reporting and cash management including reconciliation of takings.

Responsibilities:

* Assist the Senior Commercial Manager and Account Director in the formulation of contract budget, forecasts, performance trends.
* Take responsibility for the completion of month end processes.
* Ensure all relevant documentation is being completed by site teams to enable purchase orders to be processed. Ensure all costs are accurately recorded on time and invoiced as soon as possible.
* Report the correct level of cost value onto the site variance reports.

* Ensure costs are shown accurately and that they reflect the business performance.
* Monitor and review the proper use of client systems to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of costs against client instructions.
* Raise necessary internal invoicing and capital sanction documents as appropriate.
* Ensure managers and site administration follow financial procedures in order to maintain records and that reporting to customer is accurate and relevant.
* Assist management in the preparation of periodic and customer reporting, insurance claims and capital purchases.

Skills and experience:
Proven track record of working within a financial management environment Experience of working within an industrial environment is desirable Experience of working under own initiative as part of a small team Experience of working within Facilities Management or other high transactional volume, low margin environment Ownership of the control environment around processing high transactional volumes Excellent knowledge and practice of enhancing internal processes and internal reporting / forecasting Evidence of direct responsibility for cost reduction / margin enhancement Computer literate. Highly proficient in the use of MS Excel
