Finance Compliance – VP recruitment
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Working with other members of the group and the LOBs to proactively identify, measure, and monitor compliance risk, both existing and emerging.
- Documentation and maintenance of compliance programs.
- Developing an inventory of the key legal and regulatory requirements across the Asia-Pacific as they relate to the activities administered by Finance
- Assess the inherent Risks and Controls
- Assisting in the development of a risk measurement framework, related metrics and reporting.
- Administering and coordinating appropriate monitoring routines for managing risk.
- Production of relevant metrics and reporting.
- Execution of testing, baseline reviews, risk assessments and related analyses, as necessary.
- Efficient administration of enterprise compliance programs as necessary across the group, including, IRIS, Compliance Survey Associate Investment Monitoring .
- Promoting and influencing sound risk management practices with business partners.
- Partner with risk managers to administer programs and communicate risk in the overseas environment and that effect to US based business risk.
- Participation in meeting routines with regulators.
- Coordination with Regional compliance partners and LOB for regulatory exams and internal audits.
- Participation in new product initiatives.
- Support for compliance risk aspects of regional change management projects
- Issue management across a broad range of Compliance topics including supervisory initiatives and regulatory changes
Requirements
Requires minimum of bachelors degree and at least 5 years work experience within the financial services industry - preferably in Banking Finance, Banking Audit (Internal or External), Broad knowledge of banking and related compliance requirements. Other required skills include:
- Demonstrate an ability to manage collaborate on multiple complex Finance tasks simultaneously
- Extensive experience in finance systems from either a User's, Project Manager's or Auditor's perspective.
- Strong technical Finance knowledge in at least one of the Bank's core product areas is required.
- Ability to be able to manage research, analysis, issue management, collaboration reporting on both internal external focused issues.
- The successful candidate will need to be able effectively communicate with senior management on sensitive subject matter. Balancing independence being able to engage with all levels of the regional Finance Team is critical to the success of this role
- Self starter with strong execution focus.
- Strong leadership and partnering skills, persuasive.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to converse with management on all levels regarding controls, infrastructure, risk management and accounting. The ability to deliver tough messages in an effective manner is key.
- Broad business acumen to identify and connect risks across the organization including risks that could extend across theEnterpriseinto specific LOBs.
- Ability to effectively balance risk and reward.
- Desire to learn and understand new areas. Drive to seek out and understand subtle differences in risks across similar areas.
- Ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.
- Strong analytical skills
