Summary:
Regulatory Reporting is part of Controllers within the Finance Division of Goldman Sachs. The team manages regulatory capital related matters pertaining to our regulated entities in Japan. This involves interaction with the regulators such as Japan FSA on regulatory capital measures, regulatory development discussions and ad hoc information requests. The team calculates and analyses daily regulatory capital requirements and also coordinates the monthly filing of regulator reports across the firm. The team also coordinates efforts related to the global regulatory reforms and developments such as Basel 3.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will be involved in the daily process of calculating and analyzing the regulatory capital and capital requirements such as market risk and credit risk for Goldman Sachs Japan Co., Ltd. and the completion of the monthly regulatory reports, enhancements of systems, and involvement in various new products initiatives and firmwide projects.
• Calculation and analysis of the daily regulatory capital requirement.
• Investigation of issues and exceptions with Product Control, Technology and other divisions across the firm.
• Detailed analysis of the monthly regulatory reports and internal monthly reports.
• Involvement in project work, development and continuous improvement of the internal regulatory reporting systems cross divisional projects
• Respond to ad-hoc requests for information and reports.
Requirements:
• 2+ years experience in financial institution
• Strong product and computing skills
• Detail orientated with a strong control focus
• Team player
• Self-motivated and proactive, and ability to run with issues
• Flexible - ability to prioritize effectively under pressure
• Ability to maintain mutual support within the team
