Full Job Description
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have a strong finance and controls experience within the financial services environment with a proven track record of delivery. Along with this, the candidate should also have technical knowledge in the following areas:
Finance, controls, remediation change
- Practical experience in design and implementation of control frameworks, SOX 404 or control self-assessment processes
- Direct financial investigation, remediation, internal or external audit experience
- Wide level of understanding of a variety of regulation and issues that affect finance and risk departments, such as ICAAP, IFRS, Sarbanes Oxley, BASEL, MiFID, data quality and consistency
- Good knowledge of the touch points between risk and finance and fresh ideas on how better co-ordination is both needed and whether it could lead to enhancements
- Understanding of corporate governance practices relating to governance of finance functions
- Ability to provide pragmatic advice concerning the practical implications of financial services regulations and how institutions should best manage these.
