Role Description 

• Lead quarterly Operational Risk Reporting and escalate / resolve open issues through PRB and ToBi forums (with GBS).  This requires close links and relationship management with Global Business Service teams and cross FD / FM groups.

• Lead across FD / FM team through weekly management meetings and ad hoc initiative forums to ensure delivery on key initiatives this year:  CFE (Control Framework), Regulatory projects and audits, Serve as Finance Manager for cost and liase with other infrastructure groups.

• Manage communication with stakeholders , establishing query resolution and escalation structures, and working with Analytics to source data as needed.

• Assist and lead other COO initiatives, as necessary.

Key Responsibilities/Skills

Manage relationship with Global Business Services counterparts:

• Deliver quarterly Operational Risk Certification in partnership with GBS and work through remediation plans on escalated items.

• Implement issue escalation framework and resolution of key items for stakeholders.

• Co-ordinate projects  with relevant  colleagues in region or globally

• Monitor execution of projects and progress toward goals; provide transparent reporting

• Deliver on the Control Framework (CFE) program including updated Terms of Service and Workflow

• Manage monthly PRB forums, and issue escalation framework for Global PRB forums.

• Assist with all business reporting, certifications as required. 

Finance Manager for other key COO iniatives:

Assist in determining Finance - Infrastructure should start or continue doing as well as what it should stop doing (90 day plans, LEAN project leadership)

• Partner and coordinate with CTB on requirements and key deliveries for Finance.

• Support COO Lead with People/LD initiatives – coordinate,  execute and monitor LD activities in AM.

• Manage / assist with Off and Nearshore programs as required.

• Critically evaluate relevant process flows for control points, potential defects and upstream dependencies

• Ensure all outputs are consistent with knowledge of the business, market environment and regulatory restrictions

• Assist with, as required, coordinating staff moves and people or training initiatives.

• Manage budget and c ost transparency projects for key stakeholder groups.

• Assist with all ad hoc initiatives as required.

Skills Required:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Strong time management, multi-tasking and coordination skills

• Previous experience in project management would be useful though formal project management training/qualifications not necessary

• Ability to anticipate and identify issues, analyse root cause and resolve issues

• Proven track record of delivery

• Self-motivated, ability to work independently, strong team player

• Ability to influence others and work across divisions and regions

• Experience in managing staff
