FINANCE / COST TRANSFORMATION PROJECT MANAGER

A global blue-chip is currently recruiting for a Programme Manager to deliver a programme that is focussed on identifying and delivering sustainable cost savings across the business.
The programme manager will be part of the implementation team that is leading the development and implementation of transformation for senior executive stakeholders. This will be to provide long-term effectiveness and efficiency improvements with the key purpose to manage robust programmes which deliver cost and efficiency targets to enable the business to meet its long-term strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities:
-Leading the management and execution of large scale transformational change and responsibility for the realisation of varied business benefits
-Translation of cost transformation recommendations into an a programme of work to deliver the recommendations, including a work breakdown structure and a governed portfolio of projects
-Co-development with cost transformation analysts of high quality, deliverable, recommendations.
-Programme management of initiatives including the creation and management of detailed programme plans, issues, risks, opportunities, dependency and actions logs
-Work with the business teams to ensure the right specialist professional programme/project management resources are in place to manage and deliver the cost transformation programme, following the required methodology and to the required standards
-Lead the programme office team to define and deliver the implementation plan, including milestones and roadmap
-Defining medium/high complex undefined solutions which will deliver clear and measurable benefits.

Key Experience necessary:
-Formal Programme and project management experience on global, complex projects
-Experience in the delivery of finance and transformational change programmes
-Strong, demonstrable, financial intelligence and experience
- Experience identifying and delivering sustainable cost savings across a complex business environment
-Working with operations to drive savings each month and at year end
-Proven ability to build and maintain long term stakeholder support on all programmes to look for opportunities to make savings, but also ensuring that the right decisions are made operationally
-Degree educated with a 2:1 or above
-Finance or Accountancy related qualification
-Excellent stakeholder and relationship management
-Relationship management – taking personal responsibility for key stakeholders at a senior lead on behalf of the programme; working closely with the sponsor to manage the relationship; liaising with and; where appropriate, co-ordinating the activities of the matrixed customer / service team to deliver requirements

Preferable Experience:
-Background working for a global consultancy, preferable on finance change programmes
-Working in the Telco industry
