Position Description:
This is a senior manager level Business Analyst position on the Finance Data Architecture project team, working on the Product Classification strategic initiative. The objective of the project is to deliver an enterprise-wide product classification solution including an operating model and governance process to support key external and internal reporting requirements. This individual will have responsibility for:
- Requirements Analysis: Working with the Product Classification team and across key Finance functions, this individual will be responsible for interviewing Finance SMEs and documenting detailed product classification business requirements including attributes, business rules, and mapping to reports; then translating business requirements into functional specifications.
- User Acceptance Testing: Working with Finance users and other business analysts, this individual will be responsible for defining use cases and coordinating UAT testing and sign off

Skills Required:
• Bachelors Degree
• 3-5 years of business and system analysis experience
• Experience with Finance Product Reference Data concepts and external reporting obligations (Fed, SEC, etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal relationship-building, influencing, and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and a creative and flexible approach to problem solving
• Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work
• Desire to challenge the status quo and propose new solutions
• An understanding of basic accounting principles
• Fluency with all MS Office tools Strong technical skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
• Experience with one or more of the following product areas: Derivatives and Debt

Skills Desired:
• Experience in financial services sector, particularly in securities industry
• Lean six sigma green belt, or equivalent experience in process redesign
