Finance Director – 6 months recruitment
This world renowned Financial Services Business is looking for a Finance Director within one of their commercial finance streams. This is a six month role to cover a maternity leave and will report into the CFO.
As the ideal candidate you will be responsible for:
• Act as the main liaison between UK Finance Operations and the EMEA business finance and Group functions
• Provide general managerial support to the three functional heads in delivering the business as usual finance operations service
• Support the CFO – Global Finance Operations in shaping and delivering the UK arm of the finance transformation programme
• Liaise with the Director of Global Transition on change initiatives within UK finance
• Assist in the development of and then monitor progress of agreed goals within the UK Finance Operations function
• Act as a high level reviewer on management accounts by liaising with the head of UK reporting
• Provide advice and a sounding board to the capital management and financial accounting/IT finance team.
• Assist in the broader Finance Transformation project where required, focusing on developing productivity, efficiency and whilst maintaining a solid control environment.
You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant with experience working in a changing environment. You will have a proven track record within a core finance function as well as supporting commercial teams. You will be used to managing a large finance function of between 30 -50 people. Communication skills are a key to your success.
