Finance Director Designate / Deputy Finance Director / Senior Group Financial Controller recruitment
Reporting to CEO, you will be part of the Executive Management team. This is a strategic role in a fast growing organization, applicants should have a track record of high level achievement, added value influencing the direction of the organization and impacting its financial performance. The position also includes the preparation leading to an IPO and also MA activity.
Key responsibilities
- Provide the CEO and the Board of Directors with financial and management information and take active role in making strategic decisions and contribute to the continued profitable growth of the Group
- Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, develop and implement a corporate funding structure to ensure that required finances are available for the short and long term business plans and growth.
- Lead, develop and retain a strong professional finance team to produce :
- Consolidated audited and interim financials in accordance with IFRS and to ensure all statutory financial tax reporting is complied with throughout the Group
- Financial forecasts including cash flows, funding, income statements and balance sheets together with annual budgeting and 5 year business plan
- Analysis of the businesses, financial performance, variances to plans
- Review proposed investments in new concessions so as to maximise returns consistent with risk criteria
- Head of IT function charged with the delivery of IT solutions across the group so as to improve transactional and reporting efficiency and also to provide business intelligence
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional international qualification is a must (ACCA, CIMA or similar) 15+ years post qualified experience within contracting, project management or utility sector
- Ideally UAE based experience combined with career history within emerging markets
- Highly developed analytical skills and ability to interpret the financial condition of the business and ability to communicate this to the Board of Directors
- Ideally exposed to an IPO or similar transformation process
- Team player drawing on resources within the team to deliver results efficiently
- Thought leadership in the area of cost management and experience of implementing change across a global organization
- High integrity and ethics
- Comfort with challenging status quo to improve effectiveness
