Our client is a newly set up but rapidly growing private equity business which specializes in hospitality real estate, infrastructure, natural resource and energy sectors. Due to the success in the business, they are looking to expand and is currently hiring an experienced Finance Executive / Manager to support and lead the Finance Accounting function.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will maintain full set of books for the business with SUN accounting system. You will handle fund accounting fund administration work including carried interest calculation, limited partners capital calls distributions, and maintenance of capital accounts. For reporting purposes, you will compile regular management report, investor report, financial report, and regulatory (FRR) returns. From the advisory perspective, you will help set up SPV for investments and work with the legal and investment teams on deal structure and tax structure. This is more or less an one man band position but will be looking to expand the team to hire 2 to 5 juniors in the following year. In order to be successful in this role, you must be highly independent, proactive, have a 'can-do' attitude, with strong working experience in SUN accounting system, and have solid previous private equity finance experiences. As the business is new and growing, you will be integrated into the company's growth and will be part of their success.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- A university degree and a professional accounting qualification
- 6-8 years relevant Finance Accounting experiences from private equity business
- Advanced reporting and presentations capability, dealing with senior executives
- Previous working experiences with SUN accounting system is required
- Good knowledge and experience in carried interest calculation, capital calls, distributions, and SPV accounting
- Independent, proactive, and have a 'can-do' attitude
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Mandarin
