Position Description:
Morgan Stanley's Corporate Treasury Department manages funding, liquidity, and capital for Morgan Stanley. We are responsible for providing financing advisory services to senior management and the business units when it comes to these scarce resources.

We focus on maintaining the Firm's liquidity, accessing multi-currency short and long term financing, optimizing the Firm's capital base, managing the relationships with creditors, managing the Firm's foreign exchange and interest rate exposure and setting up control governance structure.

Our three major centers are in NY, London, and HK. In Asia, in addition to the HK hub, we have presence across Mumbai, Tokyo and Singapore.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the HK-based Asia Treasury team. The candidate should have demonstrated accomplishments in the areas of capital management, liquidity planning and funding to assume responsibilities for senior internal business unit coverage including coverage of senior business unit leaders and senior firm management leaders for all aspects of Treasury queries. He / she will also have regular and direct interactions with Business Resource Management, Operations, Financial Control Group, IT and other groups within the Firm.

Responsibilities will include:

- serving as the key Corporate Treasury member for MS business units
- analyzing capital and liquidity impact resulting from business plans and activities, advising business units on optimal capital and liquidity mix across secured and unsecured funding products with proper asset liability matching
- identifying liquidity and funding risks, and recommending implementing mitigating actions
- partnering with infrastructure teams including finance, tax, legal on capital and liquidity planning and execution
- overseeing the implementation of liquidity risk management framework in a business unit setting or on a regional entity setting
- articulating business impact on Contingency Funding Plan (CFP) to global Treasury counterparts
- engaging the relevant local regulatory discussions on topics including capital, funding and liquidity, and staying ahead of any regulatory changes in Asia
- making presentations to senior management, Morgan Stanley Asia Treasury team, and global Treasury colleagues
- designing robust governance framework to monitor business unit activities and actively participating in ALCO and other governance forums

Skills Required:
I. The candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise and/or potential in the following:

- solid understanding of capital, liquidity funding related regulations in the banking and securities industry
- solid understanding of investment bank trading products across one or more fields - fixed income, commodities, equities, derivatives, etc.
- experience in managing funding requirement and interest rate risk
- good knowledge of capital markets, financial products and their risk characteristics
- an ability to pull information together into a coherent package for presentation
- ability to present results to senior management across the firm

II. Education:

- Bachelors Degree in finance, economics, or accounting is required; a master degree / MBA / CFA is a strong plus

III. Experience, Skills, Attributes:

- 8-10+ years of experience, preferably from another securities firm or large bank
- excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal influencing and client service skills
- strong analytic capabilities, including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity
- proven track record of teamwork and ability to work across organizational and geographical boundaries
- adept at working in a fast-paced, high-energy, dynamic environment
- Asian languages a plus
